Unit Remanufacture continued.
Stage 4 Component Replacement – During
this stage all of faulty components are
replaced and fitted into the cleanly prepared
unit. In the case of Alternators this is a full
recondition including the Rotor, Stator,
Diodes, Regulators, Brushes & Bearings.
Stage 5 Unit Stress Test – Following the
unit being reassembled, replacement parts
fitted, the unit is then subjected to a rigorous
stress test to ensure that it is not merely fully
functional but capable of operating under
load in order to simulate it being fitted to the
recipient vehicle.
Stage 6 – Surface Preparation - Once passed the stress test units are
passed through the surface preparation stage wherein all components are
masked and the unit is painted using heat resistant paint, not merely to
ensure that the unit looks as good as new but also to act as a barrier to
stop corrosion and the adhesion of dirt to the unit.
Stage 7 – Final PDI During this stage each unit is passed through quality
control to ensure that any substandard work is captured and rectified as
part of the company’s quality management framework.
Stage 8 – Dispatch Finally each unit is labelled and sealed either for
collection or delivery by our same day courier.
