Having been established since 1972 we have had the pleasure of working with many local enthusiasts together with UK and overseas companies dealing in restoration of classical and vintage vehicles.

Recognising that due to changes in modern vehicle technology finding technicians that are experienced in working with older models can be tiresome for customers. At COX Automotive we have established a team of technicians experienced in the fault diagnosis and rectification of all classic and vintage electrical problems, allowing our customers the confidence that we are able to supply, remanufacture, modify and offer advice and guidance whatever age, model or make of classical or vintage vehicle.

We are able to offer our customers secure, dry, heated storage of their vehicle and the assurance that we will rectify their problems quickly and efficiently. In addition through working with many customers over the years we recognise the bond and hours that our customers commit to painstakingly maintain their pride and joy, therefore we offer the guarantee that all our staff are trained to take the utmost care using protective covers and drop sheets and will happily valet your vehicles interior to ensure that any dirt created through work being undertaken is removed prior to its collection

Wiring Services

From simple wiring faults to a complete loom replacement we have carried out endless rewires on everything from vintage fire engines, racing classic Ferrari's to Jet powered cars

Electrical System Upgrades

Where possible we always remanufacture to orginal specification, however we are also specialist in electrical system upgrades allowing our customer the beneift of increased resiliance and safety. As was required recently on a Morris Cowley that was being taken on a vintage trek all the way from the UK to Dubai

Unit Servicing & System Health Checks

Many of our customers attend regular rallys accross both the uk & europe therefore we offer a Health Check Service the vehicles electrical system prior to setting off This service takes roughly a day during which we will check all of the vehicles systems and dc components to ensure that everything is working as intended and if not we are able onsite to fully repair and recondition any questionable components

Unit Remanufacture

We have built a skilled team of remanufacture specilists capable of covering all makes of classic & vintage DC components such as Wiper Motors, Heater Motors, Dynamo's etc

Advice & Guidance

We recognise that aftersales support is essential therefore we offer free advice and guidence to all our customers.
